In the busyness of our schedules we have to heed our call of adventure, we have to ponder our sense of destiny. NamRock 2008 is the 3rd year where we pack our camping gear, drums, flags and head across the border to the south of Namibia to bush camp, light the fires, chill out, fellowship, worship and meet with God. We break away from our normal environment and people from all races, congregations and denominations come together to encounter God in His creation.

This vision started out with a number of friends who wanted to combine our sense of adventure with our love for God and to worship Him in the wildernessaway from anything. Somehow this inspires us to return with new passion for life at home. In 2006 we were 15 people who explored the idea and in 2007 about 60 people gathered for the same reason.

The venue is on a game farm between Karasburg & Aroab, nestled under thorn trees at the foot of a rocky ridge in a river bed in real bushveld/wilderness landscape. Everyone brings their own camping gear while the NamRock team and volunteers see to the logistics, catering, generator and music equipment for the worship teams. The program, which is not too rigid, is focused on "Lifestyle worship" which includes times for music worship, solitude, prayer, fellowship and more. The cost of registration is R300 which includes your meals, a T-shirt and photo DVD. You'll need a valid passport up to December 2008 (or emergency one) and must arrange your own transport.
