The church is at its best when it is helping people in need and real-life stories of grace and mercy from church pews have far more intrigue and drama than anything Hollywood could dream up.
For example, what do a drug-addicted artist, a feisty senior citizen, a mother dying of cancer, a woman caught up in adultery, and a salesman with the greatest “product” in the world have in common? They are all real people with real issues from one community church whose stories are interwoven in the new movie Faith Happens.

Faith Happens onthul die stories in die kerkbanke
Wat het ‘n dwelmverslaafde kunstenaar,‘n eksentrieke ou tannie, ‘n ontroue aanbiddingsleier en ‘n kanker- pasiënt in gemeen …?
Die nuwe film Faith Happens, vervaardig deur Rick Garside en uitgebring in Suid Afrika deur Humble Pie Productions, word vanjaar op die 21ste Augustus landswyd vrygestel. Dit is gebasseer op die markwaardige (ware) stories van gemeentelede in die kerk waarin Garside groot geword het, en gee ‘n verfrissend eerlike blik op die getuienis van ‘n groep mense wat soms op die harde manier leer wat Jesus bedoel het met “… julle moet mekaar liefhê.”
